In contrast to Iraq's invasion with three armored divisions to the southern axis, the only existing division under the command of the ground forces of the 92nd Division officially enters the defense of the country's borders‌ in order to be able to defend the area while stabilizing the enemy in inappropriate positions and to provide the necessary time for other divisions and forces to intervene. Although the situation of the army and the 92nd Armored Division was in a complicated situation at that time and faced many problems and shortcomings, it was able to resist the Iraqi divisions for 45 days, so the purpose of this study was to explain the performance of the 92nd Armored Division of Ahvaz in‌ the defensive operations of the first year of the Holy Defense in stabilizing the aggressor in order to be able to answer the research question that the performance of the 92nd Armored Division of Ahvaz in‌ the defensive operations of the first year How was the imposed war in stabilizing the aggressor? It should provide a scientific and research answer.
The research method was historical-descriptive
Results: According to the 92nd Armored Division of Ahvaz, with three organizational brigades with less than 50% combat readiness, according‌ to the ‌regulations of operations, even such a unit‌cannot be placed in caution. However, it stood against 3 Iraqi divisions with 100% combat readiness and was able to resist the enemy for 45 days, the performance of the 92nd Division was very good.
