A Contrastive Analysis of Command and Staff Course Educational Topics in Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Sultanate of Oman Army
The present study is a comparison of the educational topics of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Command and Staff University (I.R.I.C.S.U) the Sultanate of Oman (I.R.O.C.S.U). The main aim of the research is to compare the educational topic of I.R.I.C.S.U and I.R.O.C.S.U including the theoretical lessons, research lessons and practical lessons. The type of research is applied with qualitative approach and the research methods is descriptive.
The study population is a collection of documents related to the educational topics in the two countries as well as the educational topics of Iran and I.R.O.C.S.U.
The statistical population includes all professors and experts of I.R.I.C.S.U in the field of education and are familiar with the educational principles of I.R.I.C.S.U, as well as those who have reliable information on the countries of I.R.O.C.S.U and I.R.I.C.S.U. The data has been collected using both library and field methods through books, scientific journals, documents, manuals and educational laws of the two countries in a contrastive analysis method. The data has been analyzed in details.
The results indicate, use a western oriented program in the curriculum and classical education of Land Force trainings in the two universities. In terms of content, I.R.I.C.S.U plans and conducts its practical education in a more realistic mode regarding its mission, approach and types of threats.
