Command and control at various levels is very complex and has its own architecture and structures, today the use of intelligent command control systems and battlefield awareness equipment has provided many facilities for the military so that the effective use of this Facilities lead to greater command of the battlefield, the experience of recent wars has shown that UAVs, depending on the type, facilities and equipment, are able to perform various missions with the priority of optimal use of facilities, especially human resources. In other words, drones, including advanced equipment, are present today and have a special place on the battlefield. The purpose of this study is to "explain the role of drones in commanding and controlling the battlefield" tries to provide an answer to the question of what is the most important role of drones in commanding and controlling the battlefield? This research methodologically has a qualitative approach has been done with the help of tools such as interviews and first-hand documents that have been available. Sampling was purposeful using theoretical saturation method and in content analysis by content analysis method was used to find the research results. results of the research indicate that the role of drones in commanding and controlling the battlefield, including reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting, electronic gathering, communication and combat operations, etc., is great, and it can be boldly said that drones are now effective in military and geostrategic calculations. They are an integral part of modern warfare and command and control of the battlefield.
