Objective: This article examines the effects of war crises on the insecurity of urban spaces in Gaza. In times of war, urban spaces, as centers of daily life for humans, face serious threats. In Gaza, ongoing wars, military attacks, infrastructure destruction, economic and social limitations, and psychological pressures have led to widespread insecurity in urban spaces. This research analyzes various aspects of insecurity in Gaza's urban spaces, including physical destruction, reduced public services, weakened social relations, and increased psychological damage due to war. Additionally, models for rebuilding and enhancing urban resilience against future war crises are proposed. Among the suggested solutions are attention to war-resistant design, the creation of new public and social spaces, strengthening local participation, and economic development as effective tools for urban space reconstruction.
Methodology: This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach and aims to propose solutions to improve the insecure urban spaces in Gaza under war crises.
Findings: The research findings indicate that the use of resilient design, active community participation, and strengthening economic infrastructure can contribute to the sustainable reconstruction of urban spaces and reduce insecurity caused by war.
Originality: These findings can assist policymakers, urban planners, and international organizations in urban planning efforts in war-torn areas.
