present research has been done in terms of applied purpose and method with a qualitative and comparative approach. Based on this, the data of study have been collected in the form of a library to analyze the naval operations of the First and Second World Wars and compare the differences and similarities. The results of the research show that the focus of World War I naval operations was on the principle of surprise and the focus of World War II naval operations was on the concentration of forces. Due to the lack of use of advanced equipment such as radars during World War I, the warring countries placed more emphasis on surprising the other side. In World War II naval operations, warring nations used their maximum power to strike the other side with maximum power. this principle, due to the formation of composite commands among the Allied countries and need for coordination between units, the use of principle of unity of command has played an important role in continuing the battles.
