The new era is witnessing the expansion of the field of threat operations from purely military to other economic, cultural and social fields, as well as the growth and development of technologies in various fields of defense, and this has provided a new form of patterns of war and defense. The Islamic Republic of Iran has faced a wide range of threats since the beginning of its life, and this scope has changed and intensified in parallel with the country's growing progress, so that in recent years due to the growth of national defense capabilities on the one hand and the acquisition of unknown dimensions and incalculable costs. Achieving the tangible result of a military attack, using economic capabilities in the form of threats, and economic restraint have gained weight and importance in the eyes of the enemy. Challenges and shortcomings in the field of economic management of the country, especially the weaknesses of the country's defense components in the economic dimension affecting the full-fledged defense, have stimulated the enemy to use these weaknesses and provided the basis for economic restraint. Achieving sustainable components of economic defense against the threat of economic restraint of the enemy requires its definition, explanation and design in accordance with local conditions; Therefore, it is necessary to express the impact of the economic components of defense on the full-fledged defense of the country, which will be a model and strategy for exploitation in the field of economic defense. In this research, by content analysis method and also using a questionnaire tool, based on the Supreme Leader's guidelines and general policies of the resistance economy, we have tried to introduce the main elements of economic defense that play a key role in shaping full-fledged and comprehensive defense. They should be identified and while prioritizing the components, it should be concluded that economic defense, while having a significant relationship with comprehensive defense against economic restraint, has a decisive role in the effectiveness of full-fledged defense against various enemy threats.
