The Iraq war against Iran is one of the historical events that has had a tremendous impact on various national, regional and international levels. One of the developments that can be mentioned is gaining experience in the field of defense and military. Only two months after the victory in Operation Samen Al-Imam (AS), the Islamic Republic of Iran launched Operation Tariq al-Quds in the second year of the war (December 1981) rapidly and based on new developments and excitement created in the country, as its largest operation in scale. The authors of this article have analyzed the descriptive-historical method, goals, achievements, stages of design, implementation and position of the Jerusalem operation in the war strategy, as well as how to carry out its operations. The data collection tool in this research is the items contained in valid and scientific documents related to the research topic. Knowing how such a battle works can be effective for a military and civilian academic community. Benefiting from the results and lessons of battles can be used in future wars and crises.
