Objective: The purpose of this article is to investigate the economic capacities of Hormozgan and their impact on military operations. Methodology: The required data were collected from the field method and interviews with the officials and economic experts of the region, and the descriptive-analytical method was used to analyze the data. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the economic capacities of the region, including industrial, agricultural, etc.,will support and strengthen the defense sector and help the armed forces during a possible war due to the possibility of providing ready-made items. On the other hand, ensuring the security of large industries and important ports in the region in such a way that their activity remains stable and the flow of the country's economy is not disrupted during war is one of the most important challenges in both offensive and defensive situations. The principles of passive defense have not been considered well in the design of these industries, to the extent that it seems that large industries are also obstacles for the movements of ground units. The scattered islands in the region provide suitable positions for the deployment of ground forces and marines for offensive, defensive and waterborne operations. The large length of the coasts and numerous ports make defense operations a challenge.
