Objective: In order to deal better and effectively in possible battles, the rapid reaction brigade can be responsible for the mission of air mobile operations due to its abilities and capabilities, including mobility and light equipment. But these brigades need a large volume, fast, on time, accurate and close fire. The general purpose of this research is to explain how fire support battalions of rapid reaction brigades are used in air mobile operations. To achieve that, three hypotheses were determined.
Method: The research method is descriptive with a mixed approach and in the category of applied research. The statistical population of this research is 210 people consists of Commanders, deputies and heads of the G3 of artillery groups and battalions and professors of the Artillery Training Center. In this research, information and data obtained from interviews with experts and information collected from library resources and questionnaires have been analyzed in quantitative and qualitative way.
Findings: Based on the research results, all three hypotheses have been confirmed.
Conclusion: In the fire support battalion of rapid reaction brigades in mobile air operations: The organization for combat should be decentralized by examine the principles of organization for combat and determining the factors affecting it, and the method of assigning standard missions; Fire planning should be «complete» and «simple» and its implementation should be decentralized; «Identification, selection, and occupation» of positions depend on exist ways, ground and its terrains and the deployment of the positions, and should be fulfilled in infiltration way.
